Located along Judah Street in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset, Pacific Transit (2024) is a site-specific public artwork by Jesse Schlesinger, commissioned by the San Francisco Arts Commission. The installation brings together bronze and stone elements set atop a series of concrete plinths, referencing the meeting of the city grid and the open coastline.
sampling process
We collaborated with the artist to design and fabricate both sculptural and functional plinths for the project. Through a rigorous sampling process, we developed a unique terrazzo finish that reflects the artist’s intent, resulting in a surface that celebrates the character and familiarity of classic concrete.
