PIONEERING CONCRETE SINCE 1991
It all began with our founder, Mark Rogero, in his workshop in Emeryville, California—handcrafting commissioned pieces from concrete.
After studying architecture at the University of California, Mark channeled his passion for the built environment into a deep, lifelong exploration of concrete as a material. In 1991, he founded Concreteworks to bring that vision to life.
Mark and Concreteworks led the revolution that elevated concrete from an industrial usage into a high-performance material of infinite artistic and architectural expression. Fusing art and artistry with process and material innovation, we’ve only just scratched the surface of this material’s potential.
In our 30+ years, we’ve never lost our love for this material – and for collaborating with talented designers and artists to innovate and shape lasting forms – together.

The team at Concreteworks consists of specialized technicians, architects, engineers, craftsmen, artists, designers, and project managers.
Together, we work closely with our clients as thought partners and materials experts, bringing our experience and on-going research and development to design and fabrication. With the know-how that comes from working on sophisticated, complex projects, integrating closely with construction and other teams and never losing sight of project timelines and commitments.
