Ideas made concrete
We are a full-service design and fabrication studio specializing in innovative solutions, utilizing cast concrete and other cement-based materials.
Combining over 30 years of experience with the most innovative technology in the industry, we produce unique artisanal pieces that emphasize the value of craftsmanship.
Our history started in 1991
It all began with our Founder, Mark Rogero, in his workshop in Emeryville crafting and fabricating commissioned pieces by hand. With his design sensibility and dedication to become a life-long student of this material, he founded Concreteworks in 1991.
Since that moment in time, concrete has undergone a huge transition from a strictly industrial material into one of the most adaptable resources. Concreteworks has been there, on the front lines innovating through process and expert craftsmanship through this change, and continues to innovate decades later, imagining that we have just scratched the surface of this material’s potential.
We fully trust in our core values
Our mission is to provide our clients with the highest quality service and custom solutions to help bring their ideas from conception to reality. Our community is our driving force.
We recognize their needs and the needs of our environment by handcrafting most of our projects and committing to sustainable practices.
By constantly exploring the boundaries of concrete and keeping in tune with the desires of contemporary design, we are able to grow in capacity and aid in the evolution of the material from which our company takes its name.
Behind the concrete
The team at Concreteworks consists of specialized technicians, architects, engineers, craftsmen, artists, and designers. They work together to evaluate, develop, create, and install projects as well as on experimentation, research and problem-solving. In addition to realizing specialized works in-house, Concreteworks collaborates with architects, designers, artists, structural engineers, contractors, installers, and public works.
